Welcome to Alberta, the easternmost of Canada’s three prairie states! Alberta is an international tourist magnet, with breathtaking landscapes, a vibrant culture and some of Canada’s largest and most beautiful cities.

First, we come to Alberta’s largest city, Calgary. With a population of 1.2 million, Calgary is a vibrant metropolis and a jewel in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Here you will find a variety of attractions including the Calgary Tower, the National Music Centre, the Telus Spark Science Centre and the Glenbow Museum. Calgary is home to numerous dining, drinking and entertainment options, including the city’s largest annual festivals such as the Calgary Stampede and the Festival of Lights.

Alberta’s second largest city is Edmonton, the largest city in the north of the country. With a population of around 800,000, Edmonton is Alberta’s vibrant cosmopolitan capital. Edmonton is known for its culture, shopping and many exciting attractions. Among the city’s attractions are the West Edmonton Mall, the Royal Alberta Museum and the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Edmonton also offers a diverse nightlife with a variety of bars, restaurants and clubs open every night of the week.

Alberta has other beautiful cities to offer, such as Red Deer, with a population of around 100,000. Red Deer is known for its scenic hiking trails, laid-back atmosphere, and wide range of attractions and sights. Some of the attractions in Red Deer include Rotary Park, Kerry Wood Nature Centre and Heritage Ranch.

Also in Alberta is the town of Lethbridge, a gracious town known for its relaxed atmosphere and infectious friendliness. There is much to see and do in Lethbridge, such as the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, Lethbridge College, the Lethbridge Miners’ Memorial and much more.

Alberta is also known for its delicious local delicacies. Some of the most famous dishes in the region are bison burger, bannock and pemmican. Canadian stew is also a popular dish in Alberta and is served in many restaurants. When you come to Alberta, don’t forget to try a delicious Canadian stew.

Alberta also offers an abundance of outdoor activities. Hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking are just some of the most popular outdoor activities.
